T4E 2024

The International Conference on Technology 4 Education (T4E 2024) was organised by EdTech Society, India, and hosted by IIT Gandhinagar from 6 to 8 December 2024. For the first time it was co-located with ACM India COMPUTE 2024, the flagship computing-education symposium of ACM India.

Earlier T4E conferences were held in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kharagpur, Kollam, Warangal, Mumbai, Chennai, Goa and Mumbai, between 2009 and 2023.

Article 26 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights says education shall be directed to the full development of the human personality and to strengthening respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms, and shall promote understanding, tolerance and friendship among all groups. Despite the growth of technology in education, the opportunities open to most citizens have not changed.

So T4E asked how we can bridge educational differences between groups and level the playing field with technologies big and small, and how technology can help develop well-rounded, democratically aware citizens who observe, question and critique, beyond traditional curricular goals.

T4E 2024 brought together researchers, teachers, students, developers, entrepreneurs and practitioners from universities, colleges, schools, industry, government and NGOs. Accepted main-track papers were published in Springer Lecture Notes in Educational Technology (LNET), which is indexed in Scopus, the ACM Digital Library, ERIC, INSPEC, the Norwegian Register for Scientific Journals and Series, and SCImago.
