What Prayas OffersHave you ever walked out of a classroom knowing that a small change made a big difference? A different explanation that made a concept click. A simple activity that transformed engagement. A new way of asking questions that changed how students think. These everyday teaching moments are at the heart of Prayas. Prayas is a platform for documenting and sharing such grounded, experience-based innovations from real teaching contexts. It brings together practical insights from classrooms and learning spaces, with the aim of helping educators or teachers learn from one another. Each contribution is a documentation and reflection on what worked, how it worked, and why it may be useful in other contexts.

Our AimAt its core, Prayas seeks to make visible the everyday innovation of teaching practice — the thoughtful experimentation, reflective decisions, and meaningful adjustments that often go unnoticed but significantly shape learning. It is a space to share, reflect, and collectively grow as a community of educators and teachers.

Dedicated to the voices from the field, Prayas publishes innovative efforts by educators to enhance the teaching-learning process and make education more meaningful, engaging, and contextually relevant. Across educational settings, teachers or educators continually experiment with creative approaches to improve student learning. These include small yet powerful shifts in explanation, role plays that make abstract concepts accessible, new ways of using familiar classroom materials, thoughtful assessment strategies, and innovative uses of technology that transform learning experiences. However, many such efforts remain within individual classrooms. Teachers often lack the time, resources, or institutional support to formally document these practices through systematic research or action research. As a result, valuable insights remain unshared, and the effort behind such innovations often goes unrecognized. Prayas seeks to bridge this gap by providing a platform where educators or teachers, practitioners, and teacher educators can share classroom-based innovations, reflections, and experiences. It aims to bring visibility to meaningful pedagogical work while enabling ideas to be shared, adapted, and built upon across diverse contexts.

ObjectivesTo disseminate innovative teaching ideas and practices emerging from diverse educational settings To create a platform for dialogue among educators, teacher educators, policymakers, and the EdTech ecosystem To support the development of a Community of Practice (CoP) within the education sector To identify promising practices that may evolve into action research initiatives
