About this discussion

Learning Sciences (LS) is an interdisciplinary field that works to further scientific, humanistic, and critical theoretical understanding of learning as well as to engage in the design and implementation of learning innovations, and the improvement of instructional methodologies (Source: Wikipedia). Learning scientists use several theoretical perspectives about cognitive and sociocultural aspects of learning for designing learning environments and evaluating effectiveness of those learning environments. In this session, learning scientists will talk about how they use learning sciences perspectives in their design and research work.
