About this event
This workshop, ID 2: Instructional Objectives and Strategies, the participants will learn the basic knowledge and skill of writing instructional objectives and selecting the best strategies as part of an instructional design process. The workshop uses evidence-based instructional strategies and best practices. During the workshop, participants will work on individual and group activities, and participate in Team-Based Learning (TBL) activities. This is a five-hour workshop, consisting of up to two hours of pre-recorded (asynchronous) lectures and a three-hour live online session (synchronous). The pre-recorded lectures will be available for review two days prior to the workshop start date. The live online session is scheduled for Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Participants will engage in both individual and group activities.
What you'll learn
Describe the learning domains: cognitive, affective, and psychomotor. Apply topic analysis within a given context. Demonstrate the ability to write measurable instructional objectives. Apply instructional strategies, including initial presentation and generative strategies, in a given context. Apply Gagné's Nine Events of Instruction in a given context.
Prerequisites
Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
