Dr. Martin will provide implications for research and practice from each of these projects. In addition she will also discuss the impact of AI in enhancing cybersecurity within educational environments.

Brief Bio

Dr. Florence Martin is a Professor of Learning, Design and Technology at North Carolina State University and the Doctoral Program Coordinator of the Learning Design and Technology concentration of the Teacher Education and Learning Sciences Ph.D. Program. Dr. Martin engages in research to create transformative learning experiences through effective design and integration of online and digital teaching and learning innovations. In recent years, she has researched on the design of online learning environments and cybersecurity education. She has received over 7 million dollars in funding from the National Science Foundation and other funding agencies to support her research. Her research has resulted in over 125 journal publications and 200 presentations. Dr. Martin served as the President of the Division of Distance Learning and Multimedia Production Division for Association for Educational Communications and Technology, Board of Director for International Board for Standards for Training, Performance and Instruction and as Program Chair for Division C, Section 1 E – Computer Science and Engineering for American Educational Research Association.
