The International Conference on Technology 4 Education (T4E 2024) is organized by the EdTech Society, India, and hosted by IIT Gandhinagar. T4E 2024 will be held in Gandhinagar, India, from December 6th to 8th, 2024, and is co-located with COMPUTE 2024.

The earlier T4E conferences were held in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kharagpur, Kollam, Warangal, Mumbai, Chennai, Goa, and Mumbai in the years 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2018, 2019, and 2023 respectively.

Starting from 2023, the T4E conference has expanded its scope as well as its full form, reflecting four perspectives to view the connections between technology and education, i.e. “T4E – Technology for, of, in, across education.”

T4E – Technology for, of, in, across education

  • Technology for education: Development of tools to support learning, teaching and various aspects of education
  • Technology of education: Understanding the processes and conditions in which learning and teaching take place within technology-supported environments
  • Technology in education: Using technology to support learning and teaching in various contexts; pedagogical strategies for technology-enhanced learning
  • Technology across education: Using technology to enhance access to education across geographies, educational levels and societies
As per the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (Article 26), education shall be directed to the full development of the human personality and to the strengthening of respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms. It shall promote understanding, tolerance, and friendship among diverse groups within humanity. Despite the growth of technology in education, the opportunities available for a majority of our citizens remain unchanged. This year at T4E, we seek to push the boundaries of how we conceive of innovations in education by asking how we can bridge educational differences among diverse groups and level the educational playing field using technologies, both big and small. We further encourage participants to think beyond traditional curricular goals in education and ask how technology can foster the development of well-rounded, democratically aware citizens who can observe, question and critique. In this spirit, T4E 2024 will provide a forum to bring together researchers, teachers, students, developers, entrepreneurs and practitioners who are widely interested in understanding ways in which learning and teaching can be enhanced with technology, as well as new roles for technology in educational processes. We invite submissions from participants in universities, colleges, schools, industry, government organizations and NGOs to share their work in this emerging interdisciplinary area.

Accepted T4E 2024 papers for the main track will be published by Springer Lecture Notes in Educational Technology (LNET)
