Brief Description
Historical thinking is the set of thinking skills required for learning history or doing history. While History departments are being closed down or merged in Universities across the world, there is a necessity to learn historical thinking because these set of skills are relevant to technology, law, politics, and solving complex ill structured problems. With the advent of generative AI, the necessity to address the concept of historical thinking has come again to the fore.

Brief Bio
Vikram is Founder and CTO of the EdTech startup Freethought Labs. He periodically writes OpEds for The Hindu on a range of issues. Vikram has a PhD from the Educational Technology IDP at IIT Bombay around historical thinking and technology. He conducts teacher training programs for both inservice and preservice teachers.
